Are you going to your first SkiTour race and don't know what to expect? We have written down for you the answers to the most important questions that might occur to you before the start.

PARKING

At SkiTour you park near the start/ finish zone of the race. Come with a sufficient reserve (at least 2 hours before the start).

PICK UP THE STARTER PACKAGE

You can pick up the start package near the start at a visibly marked place. We will only ask for your starting number, which you will find in your e-mail box. Number collection ends one hour before the start. In the starter package you will find:

• Start number with integrated chip
• Meal voucher for a meal after the race
• A gift from partners
• Stickers for cross-country skis

NEW REGISTRATIONS

You can also register at the starting number pick-up point until the race capacity is sold out. You fill in the application form, pay for the race and take the start package with you. We prefer payment by card, but it will also be possible to pay in cash. However, we recommend online registration in advance. You will be sure that you will not come to a sold-out race, you will avoid the queues and most of all you will save money.

LARGE CAPACITY HEATED SKITOUR TENT

At every race, you can look forward to heated facilities prepared by partners, the ČEZ Group and T-Mobile. In a cozy, modern, and especially warm environment, you will find a changing room and an accompanying program for small and large cross-country skiers.

VW STORAGE

You can store your things in the VW storage tent. There will be large bags available in the changing room, in which you can store your things and then take them to the storage room, where they will store your things for the duration of the race.

SWIX WAXING SERVICE

At the SkiTour races, you can leave your worries behind. Let the Swix experts prepare your skis. You can always find their stand in the background of the plant. Just please: bring your skis clean and come early! We recommend simply ordering the waxing service in advance as part of the online waxing reservation. You choose a predetermined time that suits you.

Do you want the go in your hands? Then on the day of the race, follow the SWIX WAX TIP - recommendations for the ideal wax for your race day. We update the WAX TIP continuously on the SkiTour website and Facebook.

MEASUREMENT CHIP AND START NUMBER

The measuring chip is stuck on the starting number. Please do not manipulate the chip or try to peel it off. Don't forget to write your name in the white line below the start number so that everyone on the route can cheer you on! Tie your number and hurray for the start.

START CORRIDOR

The starting corridor is defined behind the inflatable gate or the SkiTour pylons. The front section is reserved for elite racers. The order of the other competitors will always be defined before each race by the applicable government measures. Watch the start of the race and get to the corridor on time. Your time is counted immediately after the starting shot.

ON THE ROUTE

Whether you choose skate or classic, perfectly prepared routes are waiting for you, which are marked with arrows and secured by organizers. You will also see kilometer markers along the route, which will tell you how many kilometers you have covered. 

REFRESHMENT STATION

There are refreshment stations on all routes with a warm Enervit isotonic drink and Enervit energy gel, tea, biscuits, or dried fruit. Please dispose of waste only near the refreshment stations - in the so-called waste zone, which is visibly marked.

AT THE FINISH LINE 

You've finished the race and you're at the finish line! The finish refreshment station awaits you with hot tea and small snacks. Your finish time will be sent to your mobile phone in the form of an SMS message. You can also view the results on the touch screens in the tent marked "results".

POST-RACE REFRESHMENTS

Recharge your energy after the race! You will find a meal voucher in the starter pack and after presenting it, you will receive a hot snack in the facilities.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WINNERS

After the races, the winners of all distances are announced. The announcement will take place directly in the background of the plant.

AT HOME AFTER THE RACE

Please check your results on the SkiTour website by the Tuesday after the race and, in case of discrepancies, write to results@onlinesystem.cz.  We will be happy if you fill out a short evaluation questionnaire, which we will send to you by email. You can share your racing experiences with other cross-country skiers on our Facebook and Instagram profiles.
