ČEZ SkiTour can roll. Registrations for 2023 season now open!

For the first time ČEZ SkiTour will start in the Krkonoše Mountains, specifically the weekend 7^th – 8^th January 20223 in Horní Mísečky. We enjoyed blue skies and piles of great snow last year during Zavírák SkiTour 2022, the closing event, of and we were so captivated by the landscape around Labská Bouda and Medvědín that we couldn’t resist and found a place for a race in the Krkonoše in the SkiTour calendar. The season starts for real in the new year with Zadovská 30, which takes place at the weekend of 14^th and 15^th January 2023 and will lead you through the unspoiled landscape of the Šumava Mountains.

The opening month of the season closes on 21^st and 22^nd January with the third part of ČEZ SkiTour, that is Krušnohorská 30. Last year during its premiere in the tour’s calendar, the landscape surrounding Cínovec showed that it can offer immaculately groomed trails, an enjoyable profile and a wild countryside worth exploring on skis.

February won’t let your skis rest either. The first stop is Deštné v Orlických horách where we’ll set off on the course of Orlický Marathon on 5^th February. The peak of the season, ČEZ Jizerská 50, takes place from Thursday 9^th to Sunday 12^th February in Bedřichov. The race of all races, 50 km in classic technique, is held traditionally on Sunday, plus the organisers have put a new race in the programme, the ČSOB Jizerská 17 race in free style. Registrations for Jizerská are in full swing at jiz50.cz and if you want to save money on the race fee, pay before 31^st October. February closes in the north of Moravia with the skiing marathon in Jesenice, the so-called JeLyMan (25^th – 26^th February 2023), where people traditionally use a ski lift to get up the mountains and where you can enjoy views of the ridges of the Jeseníky, Rychlebské Mountains and Králický Sněžník.

If you want to get an advantage over your pursuers in the overall ČEZ SkiTour ranking, just go over the Polish border to our neighbours and collect points in Jakuszyce, sometimes dubbed Polish Bedřichov. The renowned Bieg Piastów, which takes place from 3^rd to 5^th March next year, is again a partnership race of the series. Our star Adéla Boudíková could tell you about the beauty of the trails there as she won last year’s 50 km classic technique race.

The season will close off where it has started, in the Krkonoše Mountains. For the first time, a race in Harrachov will provide a fantastic ending to the cross-country skiing season. From Friday to Saturday 10^th – 11^th March 2023 we’ll explore the trails around the ski jump there. Friday will start in style with a free-style night race with head torches while the last day of the season, Saturday 11^th March, will see the children’s Mini SkiTour race and a classic technique race among Harrachov landmarks. If this is not enough for you, you can look forward to the evening. There’ll be the award ceremony for the overall ČEZ SkiTour 2023 ranking followed by a party for snow-trail lovers and the public.

We have Mini SkiTour races for children up to 15 and classic as well as free-style courses from 10 to 50 km for adult skiers. With the seven events at seven places we’ll criss-cross the whole country and enjoy the unique atmosphere, profile and landscape of each of the locations.
